Outcome & Statistics - PRGP '03


• It was the season’s finale race for Trams-Am series in its 38th continuing season and also for World Challenge GT and Touring Cars. Local series also competed.

• Rivas Dominichi –Isla Grande Airport was transformed in 18 hours into a racing circuit moving 650 barriers, 400 fence panels, 13 turns offering a 1.7 ten turn circuit.

• The event produced an economic impact for Puerto Rico of 15 million bringing 1,000 of tourist, racing teams that stayed in Puerto Rico for an average of 7 days.

• All rental cars, rental golf carts, scooters, etc., were sold out for the entire week-end.

• McDonald was mayor food sponsor and was sold out of hamburgers….

• The Puerto Rico Grand Prix 2003 event was televised through speed channel with a reach of 68 mm household for 7 hours at airtime. World challenge grand touring 2 broadcasts totaled 2 hours of prime air time and word challenge touring offered another 2 ours for a total of 11 hours of prime air time.

Trans-Am Series 2007 - The Trans Am Series which name comes from Trans American is the oldest continuously running series in the United States. Find out more about the Series in general!
CCCPR Street Touring - Street Touring which demonstrated to be Puerto Rico’s fastest growing series run 6 categories in one race. Featuring local talent in a field of more than 40 cars, the categories consists of joining high output automobiles with lower horsepower cars for a true racing combination.
Moto-Club - The MotoClub is Puerto Rico’s local Motorcycle club consisting of over 15 motorcycles. The categories consist of 750cc and 1000cc motorcycles in the stock or modified divisions. Truly a sight to see as the high horsepower motorcycles reach speeds of over 150 in what will be the PRGP race track.
